I occasionally need to use a Ventolin breather thing, and one time left it in my jacket pocket instead of the plastic bag. Both went through the scanner, but the security guy said I had a liquid in the jacket. I said don't think so, but I fished out the Ventolin, said sorry I should have put it in the bag, shall I send it through the scanner? He took it and said it was confiscated..never mind if I needed it, as I explained..unless I had a medical letter, which I did not.
